BENEFITS EXTENDED TO THE EX-SERVICEMEN & THEIR DEPENDENTS BY THE STATE GOVERNMENT

Benefits offered to Ex-serviceman & their dependants by State Government of Maharashtra are divided under various scheme. We have compiled then under the following heads for better convenience. (a) Ex-gratia Grant. (b) Maharashtra Gaurav Puraskar Scheme. (c) Benevolent Fund.

(e) Hostels :-
Numbers of Hostels are run for the welfare of children of
widows and Ex-Servicemen. The children of war widows/widows and orphan
are given free lodging and boarding in these hostels. For the other
ex-servicemen’s children the lodging is free however, the boarding is
subsidized in sliding scale. At present there are 48 Hostels (34 for
Boys & 14 for Girls). Detailed information with regard to hostels are

(f) Rest Houses :- There are 25 Rest Houses.
