GRANT OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE WIDOWS/ MOTHERS/ FATHERS OF OFFICERS AND PERSONNEL OF DEFENCE SERVICES, BORDER SECURITY FORCE AND PARA MILITARY FORCES WHO HAVE LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES IN WAR LIKE SITUATION AS WELL AS IN OPERATIONS RELATING TO INTERNAL SECURITY

  • Ex-gratia Grant of Rs. 2 Lakhs : During the period from 01 May 1995 to 30 Apr 99 the financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh were given to the widows/ parents of the officers/jawans of Maharashtra who have laid down their lives in war like situation as well as in operation/insurgency relating to internal security of the country vide Government Resolution No Misc-1096/3330/C.R.220/96/28 dated 30 Mar 1999.

  • Ex-gratia Grant of Rs. 5 Lakh : After the Kargil War in 1999 the Ex-gratia grant of Rs. 2 Lakhs has further been increased to Rs. 5 Lakhs wef 01 May 1995 vide Govt Resolution No Masaima-1099/Pra-Kra 126/99/28 dated 04 October, 2000 (2 Lakhs from Govt Fund & 3 Lakhs from Chief Minister Kargil Nidhi).
     

  • Division of Ex-gratia Garant :- Provision exists for division of Ex-gratia grant of Rs. 5 lakhs between widow and parents/dependents of martyrs wef 19 Nov 2003 vide Government Resolution No Masaika-2000/933/ C.R.86/2002/28 dated 09 Dec 2003.
     

  • Financial Assistance to soldiers disabled in war/war like operations. (Battle Casulties). Rs. 1 Lakh to 3 Lakhs depending on the percentage of disability are given to the soldiers disabled in war/war like operations (Battle Casualties). 40% from State Govt and 60% from Chief Minister Kargil Nidhi) vide Government of Maharashtra General Administration Department Resolution No ESM-1099/Pra-Kra 126/99/28 dated 04 October, 2000.
