Ex-gratia Grant of Rs. 5 Lakh : After the Kargil War in 1999 the Ex-gratia grant of Rs. 2 Lakhs has further been increased to Rs. 5 Lakhs wef 01 May 1995 vide Govt Resolution No Masaima-1099/Pra-Kra 126/99/28 dated 04 October, 2000 (2 Lakhs from Govt Fund & 3 Lakhs from Chief Minister Kargil
Nidhi).

Division of Ex-gratia Garant :- Provision exists for
division of Ex-gratia grant of Rs. 5 lakhs between widow and
parents/dependents of martyrs wef 19 Nov 2003 vide Government Resolution
No Masaika-2000/933/ C.R.86/2002/28 dated 09 Dec 2003.

Financial Assistance to soldiers disabled in war/war like operations. (Battle Casulties). Rs. 1 Lakh to 3 Lakhs depending on the percentage of disability are given to the soldiers disabled in war/war like operations (Battle Casualties). 40% from State Govt and 60% from Chief Minister Kargil Nidhi) vide Government of Maharashtra General Administration Department Resolution No ESM-1099/Pra-Kra 126/99/28 dated 04 October, 2000.
